Please note: this Document Deep Dive has been developed specifically for health centers, health center look-alikes, behavioral health organizations and other direct care organizations. Registrants for this training will receive Feldesman's Exclusion and Debarment Screening Policy and Procedure: Sample

The federal government and most states regularly publish lists of individuals and entities that have been excluded or barred from participating in federal or state health care programs. The burden of checking these lists falls on health care entities.  Initially, health care entities must ensure they do not employ, contract with or otherwise affiliate with excluded individual or entity.  They must continue to review the lists and respond appropriately if an employee, volunteer, Board member, contractor or vendor is listed as excluded or barred.

In this Document Deep Dive, join Dianne Pledgie as she discusses Feldesman’s Exclusion and Debarment Screening Policy and Procedure: Sample.  This session will walk through Feldesman’s sample to:

  • Identify required versus optional sections;
  • Explain how determine how frequently to screen individuals and entities and how long to retain screening documentation; and,
  • Discuss how health centers have addressed oversight of the screening process when an outside vendor completes the screenings.

Whether you have been using Feldesman’s sample for years, you are a subscriber to Feldesman’s Seven Elements of a Compliance Program Toolkit, or you are looking for support with reviewing and revising your health center’s screening policy and procedure, this Document Deep Dive will provide valuable information and insight for taking Feldeaman’s sample and making it work for your health center.

Always complimentary for Premium Plan subscribers, each Document Deep Dive (including the recording and the sample document) is also available for purchase by health centers, behavioral health organizations and other direct care organizations.
