(Recorded Webinar) New Deadlines, Distributions, and Developments for the Provider Relief Fund
This course is closed to new enrollments.
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act created, and the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act augmented, a $175 billion Provider Relief Fund (PRF), to reimburse health care providers for certain health care related expenses or lost revenues attributable to the coronavirus. Outpatient safety-net providers, such as community mental health centers and federally qualified health centers, have received or are due to receive funding under several Provider Relief Fund allocations.
In this webinar, we will provide updates on several new developments relating to PRF funding. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced several new distributions of PRF funding, including an opportunity (with applications due Friday, November 6, 2020) for providers that have already received PRF payments but seek additional funding to compensate financial losses and changes in operating expenses caused by the coronavirus. The new opportunity is available to behavioral health providers, regardless whether they previously received PRF funds. HHS also recently released guidance to clarify reporting and auditing issues relating to PRF distributions.
