AmeriCorps Fiscal Compliance (Virtual)
AmeriCorps State & National (“ASN”) Program funding creates the potential to considerably expand community-oriented volunteer opportunities, but comes with many complex rules attached. Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP (“FTLF”), a Washington, DC-based law firm with over 50 years of experience in federal programs, and America’s Service Commissions (“ASC”), the national association of state and territorial service commissions, have partnered to provide a detailed course of instruction focused on the specific challenges faced by ASN National Direct funding recipients, as nonprofit entities operating multi-state ASN programs. The training and discussion will cover the fundamental nature of the grant agreement, key allowable cost and cost allocation issues, National Service Criminal History Checks (“NSCHC”), practical approaches to internal controls, and more. This live event will be hosted in person in Washington, DC, with a virtual attendance option.
