Although subject to the government-wide federal grant management requirements of 2 C.F.R. Part 200, research and development awards entail special considerations, both in terms of areas of focus and ancillary compliance requirements. This webinar addresses the key areas of compliance from the perspective of recipients, including: (i) special grant management obligations and flexibilities typical to research awards; (ii) key considerations in, and tools for, structuring collaborative research efforts; (iii) review of traditional grant management requirements that sometimes can difficult to ensure within large institutions (such as time and effort documentation); and (iv) brief discussions of key ancillary considerations, such as intellectual property rights, human subjects protections, and disclosure of other funding sources.
