Congressional Earmarks: Securing Funds and Adhering to the Rules
After a decade’s pause, earmarks returned to the Congressional appropriations process in Fiscal Year 2022 and show no signs of letting up. Non-profits may support facilities construction or renovation or any number of mission-driven initiatives with these “no competition” grants. However, like any grants, earmarked money is subject to Federal Grant Regulations and other agency-specific compliance requirements. During the webinar, we cover what earmarks are, look at terms and conditions federal agencies impose on Congressional earmarks, and explore how your Institution should formulate a strategy for getting on the list, so to speak.
