Fraud Controls for Ensuring Compliance with Grant Rules and Regulations

April 22, 2027

This webinar is included in the 2027 Federal Grants Training Membership.

Federal grant recipients face increasing scrutiny to ensure federal funds are protected from fraud, waste, and abuse, and new Department of Justice (DOJ) divisions added in 2026 are specifically responsible for prioritizing investigations into fraud in government programs. Within this enforcement landscape, strong internal controls are essential.  With proper controls in place, federal grant recipients are better prepared to prevent improper activities before they become costly compliance issues or significant issues in need of disclosure.

This practical training will explore common fraud risks in grant-funded programs and the controls that help mitigate them, including segregation of duties, documentation, monitoring, and oversight. Attendees will leave with strategies to strengthen their control environment, reduce organizational risk, and address the types of weaknesses frequently identified by Offices of Inspector General (OIG) and DOJ task forces during audits and investigations.

The on-demand version of this webinar will be available for purchase after the conclusion of the live webinar.
