Health centers serve diverse communities, including individuals who may not be U.S. citizens. This webinar will provide an overview of how immigration status may affect access to federally funded health care services, including eligibility for certain programs.

Throughout the webinar, we will explore the current legal landscape as it pertains to these issues, discuss specific immigration categories such as lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylum seekers, DACA recipients, various visa categories, including employment-based visas, and others.  Attorneys will also discuss how health centers can provide care while respecting legal boundaries. Participants will learn how to develop policies and practices that comply with federal law and ensure access to care for qualified immigrant populations.
