The Department of Health and Human Services issued a notice reinterpreting the term “federal public benefit” used in Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA).  For federally qualified health centers, the new definition will prohibit services under the 330 grant or other federal funds, including SAMSHA, to be provided to “illegal aliens.”  The impacts will be felt immediately, with possible new requirements to collect information such as Social Security Numbers and other proof of legal status.

Join this industry update webinar with your trusted Feldesman attorneys, including an immigration attorney, for a discussion of who is now eligible for services, collection of data, and if and how you are still able to provide services to current clients no longer eligible under your federal funding.
