(Recorded Webinar) Recent Developments in the Paycheck Protection Program: Will Your Loan Forgiveness Application Pass Muster?

This course is closed to new enrollments.

Duration: 90 minutes
Recorded on: 02/24/2021

The rollout of the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”) has been extraordinarily challenging for borrowers.  In less than a year, the law has been amended several times[1], multiple Interim Final Rules have been issued, and the SBA has published numerous Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) in an attempt – although not always successful - to clarify the rules.  Familiarity with the current state of play is particularly important as borrowers prepare their applications for loan forgiveness.  In addition, borrowers with loans in excess of $2 million must further consider the likelihood of an SBA audit.

This webinar, presented by FTLF attorneys Michael B. Glomb, Joseph P. Loman, and Scott S. Sheffler, is designed to bring borrowers up to speed on the myriad of recent PPP developments, provide tips and best practices on how to prepare your loan forgiveness application so that it does, in fact, pass muster, and to provide guidance concerning how to prepare for and pursue an SBA appeal if your loan forgiveness application is denied.

[1] The most recent amendments occurred on December 27, 2020, when the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Nonprofits, and Venues Act (“Economic Aid Act”), Pub. L. 116-260, was enacted into law.
