Forward(Recorded Webinar) Internal Investigations Do’s and Don’ts
Although a rare event, every grantee eventually faces a circumstance that warrants a significant internal inquiry – even if the grantee anticipates that it will find that it substantially complied with applicable federal requirements. In this webinar, attorneys with decades of combined experience in conducting internal investigations will discuss practical considerations, including: (i) depending upon subject matter and posture of the issue upon discovery, who should conduct the investigation and how formal it should be, (ii) when to involve lawyers, (iii) important “do’s and don’ts” in the course of the investigation and follow-on action, and (iv) core systems and processes to have in place to mitigate risk of noncompliance in advance. This presentation will be structured as a panel discussion, with ample opportunity for participant questions.

Prior to joining Feldesman Tucker, Phillip ran a practice from San Juan which spanned corporate, business, public policy, government and contract law, and included contested matters and appeals before state and federal courts. Rosie Dawn Griffin
Rosie Dawn Griffin serves as Counsel in the firm's Federal grants, Health Care, Litigation, and Government Contracts practice groups. Rosie counsels and litigates on behalf of a diverse group of federal grant recipients, including Federally Qualified Health Centers and Head Start programs. She also defends clients across a wide range of business sectors facing investigations and litigation under the False Claims Act and similar statutes. Ms. Griffin brings deep knowledge to this work, and a unique perspective, having worked for many years at an elite relator’s side firm representing whistleblowers in False Claims Act cases. Her years of False Claims Act experience allow her to guide clients through all phases of a government investigation, from responding to civil investigative demands and subpoenas through litigation. Mindy Pava
Mindy Pava serves as Counsel in the firm’s Health Care, Education, and Litigation & Government Investigations practice groups.
