In this webinar, we will cover the rules surrounding the introduction of MHCs and MFTs as qualified providers of Medicare FQHC visits. We will explore the definitions of these two clinical professional types, and will answer questions concerning whether and how the MFTs and MHCs must enroll individually, as well as what types of services they will be authorized to provide as an FQHC “visit.” Further, we will address various logistical and compliance issues related to these professionals, including questions related to billing Medicare Advantage (MA) organizations for services provided by MHCs and MFTs; clinician licensure requirements (including the clinical supervision period); providing services to dual eligible beneficiaries; and providing MHC/MFT services via telecommunications or telehealth.
