Higher Education Insights: Fall 2026 Update on Agency Priorities
Research institutions, colleges and universities have grappled with ever-evolving regulations and government enforcement priorities since the start of the current administration, and the second half of 2026 will be no different. This webinar will focus on new obligations and compliance requirements projected to impact institutions of higher education during the remainder of 2026, including the U.S. Department of Education’s semi-annual regulatory agenda. The rules and rulemakings set forth on that agenda include:
- Eliminating disparate impact regulations,
- Clarifying how Title VI’s protections impact implementation of DEI programs, and
- Increasing federal scrutiny of foreign financial relationships involving colleges and universities.
The webinar will discuss how to strategically plan for these anticipated changes and will also highlight other “breaking news” topics of interest to higher education leaders, including proposed sweeping changes to the Uniform Guidance, litigation developments, and new notices from funding agencies such as NIH and NSF.
The on-demand version of this webinar will be available for purchase after the conclusion of the live webinar.
