(Recorded Webinar) Developing Compliance and Risk Management Training Plans: Requirements and Best Practices

Duration: 60 minutes
Recorded on: 08/17/2023

Training and education, one of the Office of Inspector General (OIG)’s compliance program elements, is essential for ensuring that health center staff understand compliance expectations and requirements, such as reporting potential noncompliance and following policies and procedures.  Health centers must also comply with training requirements under federal regulations and programs, including the FTCA, the HIPAA Rules and the CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule.  As these training requirements evolve, health centers must develop flexible training plans and content to meet regulatory and program requirements without overwhelming busy staff members.

During this webinar, we will discuss how to build a compliance and risk management training plan that meets applicable federal regulatory and program requirements, includes training designed to mitigate identified risk areas, and incorporates best practices. Key topics to be covered include assessing training needs and requirements, designing effective training programs, and evaluating and improving training programs.
