(Recorded Webinar) Unpacking New Certification and Assurances in Your Grants

This webinar is included in the Federal Grants Training Membership.

Duration: 75 minutes
Recorded on: 04/23/2026

Sign on the dotted line – or else! One year after their introduction, new certification requirements in federal grants continue to raise concern for federal funding recipients. In many instances, the new certification language added to grants in 2025 requires grantees to affirm that they comply with all applicable federal anti-discrimination laws—certifying that none of their programs operate in violation of these laws—as a condition for receiving funds. Grants may also include language mandating compliance with immigration-related Executive Orders and policies, adding further complexity and uncertainty for organizations navigating federal funding.

This webinar will explore the implications and ramifications of certifications, and what to expect moving forward.  We will also focus on legal risks, especially the potential for False Claims Act investigations tied to these certifications.  If your organization is unsure about signing these assurances or wants to better understand how to reduce enforcement risk, this session will provide essential guidance and practical steps to protect your interests.
