Head Start programs nationwide must comply with the regulations in the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS).  The HSPPS cover governance, program operations, including Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (“ERSEA”), financial and administrative requirements, including program-funded facilities, and Federal administrative procedures, including Designation Renewal. These Standards extend to all aspects of Head Start agency operations and service delivery.

Understanding the HSPPS requirements is critical to maintaining compliance with program rules and for delivering high quality, educational, health, nutritional, social and other services consistent with the Head Start Act.  In this webinar, suitable for persons new to Head Start or for those with program experience who wish to refresh their HSPPS knowledge, we review key Head Start regulations, discuss noteworthy risk areas, and review best practices to promote effective Head Start operations.
