(Recorded Webinar) You Can Go Home Again: Compliance Considerations for Remote Work

Duration: 60 minutes
Recorded on: 2/29/24

Nine months after the official “end” of the COVID-19 pandemic, many health centers continue to utilize remote work for staff members in a variety of models, including having some departments that are fully remote and allowing employees to work in hybrid schedules. This shift to remote work introduces a host of new and complex compliance considerations for health centers, including:

  • Compliance with the labor and employment laws
  • Safeguarding confidential business information and protected health information in a home office setting
  • Managing professional liability and assuring FTCA protections
  • Auditing and updating health center policies and practices to manage these challenges effectively and minimize potential liabilities associated with remote work

In this training, Feldesman Leifer LLP attorneys will help you identify and navigate some of the more common compliance considerations that arise with a remote workforce by walking you through the best practices and some of the must-have policies that you should have in place. We will also discuss how you can use Remote Work Agreements to limit your potential liabilities, increase productivity, and effectively manage your remote work arrangements with your employees.
